To  Lose Weight – How To Do It In Just  31 Days 

In today’s modern  society, obesity is unfortunately becoming  more and more common.   There are more people now with excess  fat around  their  major organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, as well as the more obvious deposits of fat around the stomach. It is due to  the nature of  these fat deposits that people are at a higher risk of developing diabetes  and other heart related diseases.

Obesity is when there is an excess of body fat. It is commonly perceived that a person is considered  obese if there weight is 20% more than the normal considered weight for their body and height.   

Many might conclude it is due to eating in excess and not sufficiently exercising to burn the additional calories that are being consumed.  However, there are many factors to take into consideration such as the age of a person, whether they are male or female, the environment, the level of physical activity, as well as other  factors such as any underlying illnesses, psychological factors  etc.  Heart disease, diabetes, cancer, depression are just but  a few of the consequences if  this serious problem  is not addressed quickly and properly.

Many though, are  not considered  to be obese, but do  however have excess stomach fat. Getting rid of stomach fat is by no means easy,  it is probably the first most prominent area of  fat deposits that will be stored and most often is  the last area of the body for fat stores to be disposed of  sufficiently.   

Below are a few healthy tips.

Healthy Tips:-

1.                  Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.  Research has shown that people who sleep for less than eight hours have a more  slower metabolism than people who get a sufficient amount of rest.   In order to maintain their energy levels, people lacking in sleep tend to eat and more often, during the day, in order to compensate for depleted energy levels.   

It is believed that insufficient sleep can cause obesity as research has shown the less a person sleeps, the higher is the probability that they will gain weight, due to the fact that sleep deprivation triggers hormone imbalances in the body that in turn can increase food cravings.

2.                  Do not skip breakfast.  Research has shown there is a direction correlation between people who eat breakfast and successful weight loss. By eating a proper breakfast, people will consume less calories throughout the  day. 

In order for you to kick start your bodies metabolism as soon as you wake up, the best and most efficient way to do this is  through eating a healthy breakfast.     Nothing else gets your metabolism up and running after a sleepful night, other than breakfast which helps you to burn more calories as the day progresses.

By starving yourself the opposite is true, not only will you put on weight, you are in effect making your body  go into starvation mode and in doing so, it will automatically begin to store fat more efficiently.  Ironically, this is the exact opposite of what you wish to achieve.

3.                  Eat regular meals throughout the day as this will give your body a consistent source of energy, thereby keeping your metabolism working effectively.  Eating less will only serve to slow down your metabolism.

4.                  Make sure what you  eat is healthy, it is no use eating regularly throughout the day and constantly snacking on junk food, this will defeat the objective.

5.                  Learn to take deep breaths everyday.  Each and every time we take deep breaths the cells in our body are receiving oxygen, without which the body can become more vunerable to disease and many other health related issues.  By breathing deeply the levels of  blood oxygen in your body increase. Oxygen plays a vital role in both our metabolism and our energy levels.

6.                  Whenever possible, in order to burn more calories take the stairs instead of the lift, not only will you get fitter and increase your energy levels,  you will also start to look and feel much better, enabling you to burn more calories than had you just ‘taken the lift’ or any other less physical alternative in any  other given scenario. 

Eating healthy  gives us  all the minerals and vitamins that are needed to  maintain a strong immune system. which in turn will help  your body protect itself from harmful diseases. It is through our diet that we will either strengthen or weaken it. 

The benefits of eating breakfast have already been highlighted above, however there are  many who will still debate with themselves:-

Maybe if I don’t eat breakfast  or if I skip lunch and just have an apple I’ll lose weight.  If you eat less now you are going to end up eating more later.

Starving is not an option and you shouldn’t have to.  You should be able to enjoy yourself however, it is no good starving yourself for a week and then having a pizza the weekend, all you will end up doing is putting on back the  calories that you lost – you are setting yourself up for failure.  Then you wonder why  you  cant lose that belly fat. The fact is that  while on a diet you will begin to obsess  more about food not think less  about it.

The less you eat the more you will put on, worse still, the more you try  to lose weight and for longer periods,  the more miserable you are going to get.  As you  begin to  eat less and less your body will react, it will go into ‘starvation mode’ because it does not  know when the next source of energy i.e., food,  is going to come from, the food that you do eat, will be stored as fat.  

Not only are  how and when the foods that we eat important, exercise too  is  important.  So which weight loss programme do you choose.  What you do need to make sure is that you don’t fall for wide claims of too much  weight loss over a given period of time, why? it can actually be harmful to you, the best and most simple way to lose weight is to do it is  gradually and consistently.

Even if you do exercise you will still gain weight if your eating habits are bad, such as eating large quantities of food at a time, or  eating too little.  Both exercise and a proper diet are essential to maintain both a healthy mind and body.

So fine, you are all geared up and raring to go but  what next - we can’t do it on  our own, and we shouldn’t have to.

Its easy to say do this and do that and  there will be weight loss.  Life is not perfect and neither are you, but you can  do something about it.

Would you like to start  something straight away, and I don’t mean you need to go to the gym you don’t. There are people who hate going to the gym, ashamed about the way they look and feel, especially around people who have ‘better bodies’ than they.  In fact, you don’t need to go to the gym or spend anything on exercise equipment, if you don’t like the gym then this program is for you too.

However, you  WILL start  going to the  gym when you start seeing results – you will want to.  Let’s face it, we have all heard the saying  “If You Look Good, You Feel Good”, and its true,  you will  want to show it off, it’s basic human nature and there’s absolutely nothing wrong in that.
